A long time ago, when I was a young lad a friends friend took me into his garage to reveal the first Triumph Bonneville that would change my life. As he pulled back the cover to reveal the machine, my eyes lit up as the chrome reflected against my dilated pupils. He strapped his leg across the bike and kicked down hard engulfing me in fumes and deafening my ear drums with two open fishtail pipes. This is where my journey began, and for many is probably the same, the Bonneville was the British Harley and this model would give any bike a run for its money. Comfortable to ride, a purr of an engine as it rumbles through the lanes taking all conditions in its stride. For a real taste of nostalgia, a blast from the past (with a modern twist as this is of course a modern rebuild) the Bonneville is the perfect place to start and end. But be warned, what ever you ride now, could well take a back seat.
